The duet from 'Autobiography', inspired by McGregor’s DNA, fuses his dynamic choreography with Jlin’s uncompromising electronic score and costumes by artist and designer Aitor Throup (G-Star Raw).
Wayne McGregor is internationally renowned for trailblazing innovations in performance that have radically redefined dance in the modern era. This year Company Wayne McGregor celebrates its 25th anniversary of being at the cutting edge of contemporary arts. McGregor is also Resident Choreographer of The Royal Ballet where he has created iconic works such as 'Chroma' to music by The White Stripes. He is in high demand for choreographing for theatre (NT, Old Vic), film ('Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire', 'Fantastic Beasts' 1 & 2), fashion shows (Gareth Pugh at London Fashion Week 2017), TV (The 2016 Brit Awards Opening Sequence, Paloma Faith’s Brit Awards performance 2015), campaigns (everyBODY for Selfridges, Boots No. 7) and music videos (‘Lotus Flower’ by Radiohead, ‘Ingenue’ by Atoms for Peace, ‘Wide Open’ by The Chemical Brothers feat. Beck).
Studio Wayne McGregor, a bespoke space for making and creative collaboration across dance, film, music, visual art, science and technology, is based at Here East on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in east London.
