Mindful Mandalas

In this drop in class you will learn to craft an Ojo de Dios (eye of god), woven with yarn between wooden sticks in several colors. The weaving of an Ojo de Dios mandala is an ancient contemplative and spiritual practice for many indigenous peoples in the Americas.

The process of making one, is repetitive, grounding and meditative, an excellent tool to quiet your mind and re-connect with yourself.

We will embellish them with tassels and pom poms, ready to hang in your home or gift to a loved one.

You will be given everything you need to make an Ojo, the class is free with a suggested donation of £2.

Head & Hands is a carefully curated store supporting small independent makers and artists. Stocking a range of handmade goods and gifts, from ceramics to jewellery, homeware to apothecary, everything is made by loving hands and with good intentions.

Head & Hands runs a number of conscious craft workshops to help busy the hands and quiet the mind through artistic practice. These take place around Walthamstow, hosting a number of different artists and teachers, making space for them to share skills and wisdom.

Drop in mindful mandala sessions will run:

Saturday 12pm - 3pm
Sunday 12pm - 3pm
